The Moroccan family booklet (livret de famille / Hala Madania) is an official document for married couples containing information about their marriage and children. It serves as proof of family ties and is used in various administrative procedures in Morocco and abroad. Only Moroccan men born in the Netherlands can apply for this booklet at the consulate in the Netherlands; Moroccan men born in Morocco must apply for the family booklet in Morocco.

With the following documents, a Moroccan man (born in the Netherlands) can apply for a family booklet at the Moroccan consulate in the Netherlands:

  • A valid Moroccan Carte Nationale (CNIE) for the man and his partner. If your partner is registered with another Moroccan consulate, the birth certificate must be requested from that consulate.
  • The Moroccan marriage certificate.
  • The family record book of the husband's parents and of his partner's parents, or a birth certificate from Morocco if your wife was born there.

With the above documents, you can make an appointment at the consulate via their website www.rdv.consulat.ma
