The Moroccan father is responsible for registering the child in the Moroccan family register (livret de famille / Hala Madania).
A Moroccan father can register a child with the following documents:
- A valid Moroccan Carte Nationale (CNIE) for the man and his partner
- The Moroccan marriage certificate
- The existing family booklet. Don't have one? Then you can read here how to request one.
- International birth certificate of the child (issued by the municipality, no more than 3 months old)
With the above documents, you can make an appointment at the consulate via their website www.rdv.consulat.ma
