⸻ Official proof needed

Your document must be legalized for use abroad

Many agencies do not accept foreign documents until they have been officially legalized or provided with an apostille. This applies to diplomas, deeds, statements and other important documents.

The process is often complex and varies from country to country. You may not know which authority to go to, or exactly what steps are required. What you are looking for is certainty: that it will be done correctly, that your document will be recognized, and that there will be no surprises at the final destination.

⸻ Complicated procedure

Legalization is often unclear, time-consuming and error-prone

If you try to apply for legalization or apostille yourself, you will quickly run into obstacles. Different agencies, papers in the wrong order or a missing stamp cause unnecessary delays.

You may not know whether you need an apostille or full legalization. Above all, you want clarity: one point of contact who knows how it works, arranges it for you, and prevents you from losing time or money to mistakes in the process.

What exactly is legalization of a document?

Legalization is a process by which the authenticity of a document is confirmed for use abroad. It involves a competent authority certifying that the signature and/or stamp on the document is genuine. Legalization says nothing about the content of the document, but guarantees that it is officially recognized in the destination country.

For countries party to the Apostille Convention, such as the Netherlands and Morocco, an apostille is often sufficient. This is a simplified form of legalization.

What is the difference between legalization and an apostille?

An apostille is an international standard for legalization and is used between countries affiliated with the Hague Apostille Convention. With a single stamp (the apostille), the document is immediately valid in the receiving country without further legalization.

For countries that are not parties to this treaty, a longer legalization process is required through multiple agencies. For documents between the Netherlands and Morocco, an apostille is usually sufficient.

Can you legalize my documents in Morocco?

Yes, Arabika can have your Moroccan documents such as birth certificates, diplomas or declarations legalized in Morocco for use in the Netherlands. Through our local offices in Morocco, the process goes smoothly and we ensure that your document is legalized correctly.

After legalization, we ensure that the document reaches you, optionally and where necessary, with a certified translation. For smooth handling, you can easily schedule an appointment via our website.

What does it cost to legalize or apostille a document?

The cost depends on the type of document, the issuing country, and whether it is just an apostille or a full legalization procedure.

As working methods differ from region to region in Morocco, we always give a customized price. Please contact Arabika and mention which document is involved and where it comes from, you will quickly receive a clear quote.
