If you need help authorizing someone or filing an objection

Sometimes you cannot be present at proceedings yourself or need to object via an official letter. In such cases, you need a power of attorney or letter of objection, drafted according to the proper legal rules.

But how do you write such a thing? What should it contain? And where should it go? You don't want to risk your request being rejected because something is missing or incorrect. So you are looking for help from someone who can take care of this properly and officially for you.

⸻ Correct and official

You want a legally valid power of attorney or substantiated objection

A power of attorney is not just a letter. It must be formulated officially, sometimes with a translation or legalization. The same goes for letters of objection. It is important that they are strong in content and meet the agency's requirements.

You may not know exactly how to make an objection or what wording is required. You want it done professionally, with the right legal tone, so that your objection is taken seriously or your attorney can actually act on your behalf.

What kind of authorizations does Arabika write?

A power of attorney / وكالة (also known as a proxy) is an official authorization whereby you give someone else the authority to perform a specific action on your behalf. This may concern administrative, legal, or financial matters, both in the Netherlands and in Morocco. Ideal when you are unable to be present yourself.

Arabika is the right place for you. We write professional, completely accurate authorizations that meet the requirements of the Moroccan consulate. This way, you can be sure that your document will be accepted immediately and you will avoid unnecessary delays.

Arabika draws up virtually all types of authorizations. Examples include:

  • Driving a car registered to a (different) Moroccan owner
  • Requesting administrative documents, such as a Certificate of Good Conduct (شهادة حسن السيرة)
  • Adding or requesting gas, water, and electricity for your house/apartment in Morocco
  • Authorization for someone to withdraw or manage money from a Moroccan bank account
  • And many more types of authorizations

Arabika can help you draw up the authorization and have it legalized at the Moroccan consulate. It is important that all parties involved are in possession of a valid Carte Nationale. Would you like Arabika to draw up an authorization? Please contact us via WhatsApp.

Please note: There is one type of authorization that Arabika cannot draw up, namely authorizations for the purchase, sale, and distribution of real estate (e.g., houses or land).

I need authorization to buy/sell/divide a house/land.

At Arabika, we can issue almost all powers of attorney for you, with the exception of powers of attorney relating to the purchase, sale, or distribution of real estate (houses/land). For these specific powers of attorney, you will need to make an appointment with the notary at the Moroccan consulate.

To request an appointment for authorization in connection with real estate, you will need the following documents:

  • A valid Carte Nationale for all parties involved (including the person you wish to authorize).
  • A property agreement (milkia / الملكية).
  • A certificate of inheritance (شهادة الإرث), if applicable.

With the above documents, you can make an appointment at the consulate via their website www.rdv.consulat.ma

Please note: Arabika is not responsible for incorrect or outdated information. For the most up-to-date list of required documents, we advise you to always check which documents are required for each application via the consulate's website.

What is a power of attorney and what can I use it for?

A power of attorney is an official authorization by which you authorize someone else to take actions on your behalf.

For example:

  • Having a document requested
  • Starting proceedings with a Moroccan authority
  • Arranging a translation or legalization on your behalf

At Arabika, we can prepare a power of attorney for you that meets the requirements of the Moroccan consulate or other authorities. This can often be done without an appointment at our office.

Can I authorize someone to request documents in Morocco?

Yes, you can. You can authorize Arabika or another person to request official documents in Morocco on your behalf, such as birth certificates, marriage certificates or family records.

The power of attorney must meet specific requirements and often be legalized at the Moroccan consulate. We will assist you in preparing a correct power of attorney and, if desired, also arrange for its legalization.
